Lincoln Lotto
Learn about everyday life in Lincoln’s time in a bingo game about seven “Lincoln Kids.”
This bingo-style game introduces five people in Lincoln’s generation and two in the next generation. A card on each individual pictures six objects on the front and describes his or her childhood on the back. Some objects appear on multiple cards and others appear only once or twice, illustrating differences and similarities between the individuals.
Equipment • “Lincoln Kid” player cards • Lincoln Lotto Text • Caller cards • Markers (beans, buttons, pennies, etc.)
Directions 1. Give each player (or pairs of players) a “Lincoln Kid” card and a small pile of markers. 2. Place the caller cards face down on a table or in a box. 3. Draw one card at a time, read it, and show it to the players, who place a marker on their card if the image is pictured there. 4. The first player to fill his or her card wins.
